About Cody Covington
Cody Covington, MD, is an empathetic and patient-focused orthopedic surgeon in San Antonio, Texas, who provides a range of innovative treatments for knee, hip, and shoulder pain to help his patients get back to the activities they love.

Dr. Covington earned his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He went on to earn his medical degree at the Long School of Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Covington completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, Texas.
During his training, Dr. Covington participated in many research projects regarding joint replacement, opioid medication use after injury, and preoperative screening procedures. He’s also an educator who has helped guide new orthopedic surgeons.
